Whether you see this as a advantage or disadvantage, it brings complexity to those working and living in this area.
People in this area are not responsible for climate change and the destruction of the biosphere, but they are suffering the consequences more than most. Developing resilience in rural communities, helping them adapt to climate change and engaging them in the global efforts to restore ecosystems and regenerate soil is the only pathway forward to a sustainable, healthy and abundant future.
